Intasite heads to Deutschland!
Keen to expand in to global markets, Intasite set off on their travels to explore the German market and attend a 2 day Trade Mission to Berlin along with a number of businesses across the North East, with the help of the Department of International Trade (DIT).
The business attended a number of seminars to glean a deeper understanding of market needs, the German culture, how best to approach exporting in line with market needs, and understanding the sectors they operate in such as transport and logistics, wind, manufacturing, the chemical and the food industry.
The trip was also important to build and solidify connections and strong business relationships with the Chamber of Commerce in Berlin. Being proud and active members of the North East England Chamber of Commerce, we’re well aware of the invaluable information and support made available in terms of increasing business opportunities through growing our network, improving our profile and influence within the industry, and access to information and guidance.
The trade mission began on the Wednesday evening, where we attended the welcome event in Hotel Schönfield getting the chance to spend some time listening to speakers from the Chamber of Commerce, The British Chamber of Commerce in Germany, The British Embassy and Tony Sims, Head of Department for International Trade Berlin, before getting to mingle and network with guests and speakers alike.
The following morning began with a visit to Airkom where Intasite learned more about the aerospace and energy industry. The group then made their way to the Media Tech Hub in Potsdam to do a bit of networking with Media Connect Brandenburg and create relationships with prospective partners.
A quick lunch and a change of scenery later, we were transferred to the Chamber of Commerce where we were given an overview of the region and given a further explanation into the types of profiles of the industrial clusters within the region. This was also the chance to interact with 2 Chamber members currently doing business with the UK to gain more of an insight into market needs and future requirements.
The group landed back in the UK midday on Friday, full of ideas and inspiration of how Intasite can provide solutions to current global market needs.
