Revolutionising a manual process
Venator Materials are a leading global chemical company dedicated to the development and manufacture of titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives.
Venator contacted Intasite with a view to transform their full induction and visitor management process at their Greatham site in Hartlepool. The decision was made to switch from a paper based logbook to Intasite’s online solution. This helped them completely revamp and improve their procedures for welcoming visitors and it also played a big role in supporting their COVID-19 policy.

After considering several digital induction solutions, Venator selected Intasite, realising the flexibility which the system had to offer would be best placed to meet their evolving requirements.

Introducing a dynamic visitor experience
Starting with visitors, Intasite worked with Venator to roll out the online solution where an invitation could be sent ahead of arrival to complete the site induction.
Once in place, we rolled out a phased approach to include contractors, employees and hauliers. Simultaneously, Venator reviewed its procedures for signing in visitors and decided to use Intasite’s Visitor Management module for a touch less check-in which is located on an iPad at reception. With this module in place, Venator can create bookings, track who is on site and alert hosts when their guest arrives.

Managing the distribution of PPE and equipment
On top of addressing site access procedures, the safety team at Venator required an inventory solution to assign PPE items and equipment to contractors. After many misplaced and lost items, the module needed to issue a piece of kit to an individual, monitor the return date and manage any defects to the item.
